“ I've been to Milk & Honey twice now and had a great experience both times. First of all, I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes. So delicious. Well seasoned, but the seasoning isn't so overpowering that you miss out of the flavor of the tomato. Our first visit, in May, I had the blackened salmon and grits, and the salmon was perfectly flaky with a nice crisp on the outside. My mom got the catfish and grits and the catfish was so tender that you could barely keep it on the fork. For dessert we got the bread pudding and the strawberry biscuits and shared. Both were delicious. The second time we visited, June 15, I stuck with the salmon but my mom tried the crab cake sandwich with fries. The fries are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside and the crab cake was huge. And it was just giant lumps of crab. So good. Both times we've been have been during lunch and it's been busy but the staff moves quickly and we've never had to wait too long, though personally I feel it would be well worth the wait. The staff is friendly and attentive, the dining room is clean and cozy and I love the tin ceiling, the gorgeous light fixture, and the combo of the deep color on the walls with the wood and yellow accents, and the restroom is clean as well. I've recommended Milk & Honey to several friends and co-workers and I'm looking forward to my next lunch there with friends in a few weeks. ”

“ Visited the Colonial Heights location and was not disappointed. The woman at the front desk was patient, attentive and friendly. She explained the wait would be about 45 min but asked if we would like to place a carry out order which would be ready in 15 minutes. We decided to take out. She took our order and it was ready in exactly 15 minutes. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered shrimp and grits, salmon and grits and cheesecake pancakes. I will definitely continue to support this location since I recently moved to the area. Very happy to see more black owned establishments in the area. ”

I had their award winning shrimp and grits was crazy freaking good , best I've ever had in 50 yrs. Hubby had meat scramble. Both meals out of bounds! “ Our server, Lashawn was amazing! My companion and I got there just as they opened so we got the VIP treatment. I casually asked if it was a black owned business and not only was she answer my questions, she told my companion and I the history of the place with a smile. It IS a very nice and upscale blacked owned business that I wish I could give a 10 star rating. My companion had French coast and when he mentioned something special about the center, I was intrigued. It has something like cream cheese in the middle with a sweet crust! Just amazing! ”

“ This place was AMAZING!! From customer service to food and atmosphere. We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had 7 adults and 4 kids, we tried to call ahead but couldn’t get through the phone service so we decided to just go in and we were so glad we did. The manager told us she would be taking care of us and she was AWESOME! She rearranged tables to accommodate us, she took our orders and the food was out in no time. The food was DELICIOUS, everything was seasoned just right and presentation on point, the portions were definitely 2 meals in 1. Shoutout to the manager and the chef for making our first visit to Milk & Honey extra special!! We definitely be making this place a regular. 5 stars undoubtedly!! ”
